TRANSFORMASI PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN MENTAL MELALUI SIKAP REMAJA DI AKPER KESDAM IM LHOKSEUMAWE

Masa remaja merupakan fase krusial pencarian jati diri dan transisi menuju kedewasaan yang kerap diwarnai berbagai tantangan psikologis. Rendahnya literasi kesehatan mental serta tingginya stigma terhadap gangguan mental dapat menghambat deteksi dini dan pencarian bantuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan sikap remaja (mahasiswa) terhadap kesehatan mental setelah diberikan pendidikan kesehatan mental di Akademi Keperawatan Kesdam Iskandar Muda Lhokseumawe. Desain penelitian menggunakan quasi-eksperimental pretest–posttest tanpa kontrol pada 298 mahasiswa berusia 17–22 tahun. Intervensi dilakukan melalui tiga sesi pendidikan (2 jam/sesi) selama dua minggu yang mencakup pengenalan kesehatan mental, pengurangan stigma, tanda bahaya, dan rujukan layanan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner sikap 10-item skala Likert dengan rentang skor 10–50. Hasil analisis paired t-test menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada skor sikap sebelum (M=2,81; SD=0,88) dan sesudah intervensi (M=3,78; SD=0,97), dengan mean difference 0,97; t(297)=28,46; p<0,001. Disimpulkan bahwa pendidikan kesehatan mental singkat secara signifikan meningkatkan sikap positif mahasiswa terhadap kesehatan mental. Integrasi program ini dalam kurikulum keperawatan direkomendasikan untuk memperkuat literasi dan kesadaran kesehatan mental di kalangan mahasiswa.
